O Head! A Poem by Nicole Callihan

Poetry

O head,
you silly bobber,
crooked dreamer,

how heavy
you seem
with your fat gray

eyes and your
seven strange
freckles,

with your
empty pockets
and your blue

moon, all
the yelling
and yellow

blooms.
O head,
it is a delirious

wonder
you have not
wandered

to some spot
very deep
and far away.
